The Fraunhofer Center for Laser Technology is partnered with  Wayne State University,  Department of Mechanical  Engineering. The goal of the alliance is to develop technologies and implantable devices for neural stimulation, sensing and drug delivery. Our effort focuses on the packaging, surface modification and laser machining of the complex MEMS.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology in Aachen, Germany has been recognized as a world leader in the progress of laser technology for well over a decade. A staff of more than 240 highly trained individuals are working on the development of new lasers, components and applications to streamline the manufacturing process. The ILT is the partnering institute of the Fraunhofer Center for Laser Technology.
